2025-2 Austenasia Recognition Act Executive Summary This law unilaterally recognizes the Empire of Austenasia and its officers as the legal and exclusive representatives of Austenasia and its dependencies. It also condemns the June 2025 coup attempt by former Prime Minister Adam Musgrave, and sets up a framework for the future recognition of additional micronations. Record of Vote and Endorsement Legislation was unanimously passed by The Directory on June 10th, 2025. Officially endorsed by Executive Director Alexander Grady on June 10th, 2025. Law effective June 10th, 2025. Article 1: Statement and Purpose [1.1] This act shall formalize the full legal recognition of The Empire of Austenasia, condemn bad actors, and establish a framework for the recognition of additional micronations. [1.2] The Directory shall have the power to enforce this Act with appropriate legislation. Article 2: Formal Recognition of The Empire of Austenasia [2.1] The City State of Corte Astera shall formally recognize The Empire of Austenasia, as the rightful government and sole legal authority of the People, Claims, Territories, Dependencies, Officers and Representatives, in all manners regarding its People, Claims, Territories, Dependencies, Officers and Representatives thereof. [2.2]The City State of Corte Astera shall formally recognize His Imperial Majesty Emperor Aggelos I – as well as any future monarchs, as selected by the laws and customs of The Empire of Austenasia - as the supreme legal authority of The Empire of Austenasia. [2.3] The City State of Corte Astera shall formally recognize The Prime Minister of The Empire of Austenasia as its head of state. [2.2] The Executive Director, under their authority as the representative of Corte Astera in all foreign affairs, shall have the power to establish both informal and formal relations, as well as negotiate any treaties, with The Empire of Austenasia, except as provided by law. [2.3] The Foreign office of The Empire of Austenasia shall be notified of this formal recognition via electronic means not more than 30 days after the official endorsement of this piece of legislation. [2.4] Formal recognition of The Empire of Austenasia may be rescinded by The Directory as provided by law. Article 3: Condemnation of bad actors [3.1] The former Prime Minister of Austenasia, Adam Musgrave, is condemned in the strongest terms, for the attempted coup of the rightful government of The Empire of Austenasia, the unilateral and largely unrecognized establishment of an illegitimate successor state (The “Commonwealth” of Austenasia), the extralegal seizure of electronic assets from the rightful government of The Empire of Austenasia, and for additional intermicronational incidents that he has caused in the past. [3.2] The “Commonwealth” of Austenasia shall not be recognized in any way, nor shall any relations be established with or for, by any government body of The City State of Corte Astera, for any reason what so ever, except as provided by law. [3.3]No state or nation founded or headed by former Prime Minister of Austenasia, Adam Musgrave, nor shall Adam Musgrave himself, shall be recognized in any way by The City State of Corte Astera, in any professional or legal capacity, for a period not more than one (1) calendar year from the official endorsement of this piece of legislation, except as a leader or representative of the Empire of Austenasia, if legally and dutifully selected via the laws and customs of The Empire of Austenasia. Article 4: Future Recognition of Additional Micronations [4.1] Within 60 days of the official endorsement of this piece of legislation, The Executive Director shall provide The Directory a legal framework through which the formal recognition of additional micronations may be proposed and ratified.
